The Evening in Dance at PJM Gallery

NEST

Some spectacular and innovative choreography by Erika Mills in a dance piece entitled, Nest, saw three women portray aspects of a fourth as she evolved from primordial eggs, crushed beneath her high heel, into the vamp, scamp and tramp.

Dancers include Danielle Duchesne, Brooke Herczeg, Sofia Tsolis, and Éloïse Viscardi. Live musical accompaniment inspired by Beethoven's Grande Fugue, was performed by Pierre-Luc Clement.

Photos are grainy but if you follow along, you may get a sense of how the piece unfolded, right to the last photo where the three familiars, alter-egos or faces of Eve, if you will, strive to wake their host.
