Decapitated dolls are non-sexual. Without faces, they are torsos.
There are a couple dolls with faces and hair. Hair is inevitably sexual. So bit of point, counter-point.
What one really sees is the flesh-colour against a black background. Without being obvious, the background is a black satin sheet.
There is a pleasure to this installation.
I wonder if it will be one of the works I will include should I be fortunate to be chosen to display art at Modern Fuel in Kingston in August.
