Day of Action, Successful for Keyboard Pinata

Under on-again, off-again, sun/cloud-cover skies, the National Day of Action sponsored by the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), took place at Confederation Park in downtown Ottawa. Crowds weren't huge but those who came were keen to make the rounds of twenty or so information tables where everything from water bottles, fridge magnets, and key chains, to T-shirts, buttons with catchy slogans and pens that looked like syringes were being given away. The free BBQ burgs and dogs drew union sympathizers and the hungry homeless, alike. Certainly, there it was deja vu for them and the "gift" of Occupy Ottawa that took place in the same park at the same time last year.
