This damaged Maru board was up the street outside of The Antique Skateboard, a shop that opened in Ottawa just about a year ago. They said I could have it.
I need it if for no other reason than I can study the design, top and bottom, the top side especially to see what the gripping material is like.
I have trucks for the bottom and a skate shoe for the top. Not for this board, however, rather a keyboard I plan to recreate as a skateboard.
One thing about stretching the limits, I have to say that I learn something new everyday.
What would I know about skateboards if I didn't have the idea to create art out of one...by not using one.
