If the magazine unearthed was from 1928, and incidentally, it is in the post and almost in the hands of
current Log editors, then today's find is almost an anagram, most of the matches being from
the eighties, no doubt, some from 1982.
Of course, book matches are available in boxes at the super market, but they are not hot items at bars as they once were. People who used to collect matches now collect coasters.
