What a Difference a Frame Makes



Working with what is in the studio, scores of Sheila's miniatures were assembled this evening. I originally used an aluminum frame with Plexiglas but it was suggested, and rightly so, that a brown frame without the garish green crimped plastic might be more suitable. I raced to make the changes before midnight.

It is interesting. Despite the use of very bright acrylic paint and brightly coloured stamps in the creation of the miniatures, the overall impression is one of earth-tones. Even with the green and silver, it was all about earth-tones.

Some discrepancy here in the colouration is that I used a flash above and just overhead light below.
