Fixatives and Weights

Working with melted wax to put a coating on paper so that it is somewhat impervious to the weather. The ART to the right has been outside in several rainfalls and whereas the wax is lifting, it has protected the paper and if not disturbed, for it will slough off, it does the job it was meant to do.
The heels on these original saddle shoes were coming loose from the sole. Hot wax and Shoe Goo has been used with some success. But unless Shoe Goo can be had by the quart, small tubes just don't do it for major projects such as art installations.
Perspective is off but the Munch mask is partially glued to the foam plinth and weighted with what might have been part of a set of weights. Cleaner and more handy than the bricks I was using.

The words have been glued in place using an acrylic silicone. Given that the sign will be vertical, I am hoping that not too much rain will actually hit it. And, using wax as a protective coating, I am also hoping that the July sun does not beat down on it.
