Since the letters, bright as they be, were blending in with the rough-hewn board, it seemed important to outline the letters, to provide a shadow, so to speak, so that they pop out. The colourful letters will be glued, and maybe screwed, in place tomorrow. There is one letter currently being tested using Bull Dog Grip to see if this binding agent will glue wood to wood. Failing this, silicone works well and is weather resistant.
At least five of the letters are drying from a last moment coating of shellack.
