The guitar and case weren't meant to go together but they do. It may not be noticeable to the casual observer but the rim around top and bottom have been fixed and darkened, likewise the sides.
If you look closely below right, you'll see where I missed a section with the black dye. That'll be a job for tomorrow.
I wanted to show the hinges, as yet to be rubbed with fine steel wool to remove as much rust as possible. Remember, the case is probably 30 or 40 years old and some wear and imperfections are a given.
The case has a polished, finished look now that I have done the edges and sides. Much improved.
