Started out as at left but has morphed into at right.
Old, battered beige case. This is just the top as it has become detached. Not sure where this is going but entertaining for a Saturday afternoon.
A Vonnegut moment.
Blurred area in the middle is a shellac experiment to see if it will make permanent the design.
Beside, with the greenish stickies, I'm trying out three other fixatives to see how they work.
Below, a lovely old guitar case with beautiful green felt inside. Black material, some sort of vinyl, is stiff but probably could have been glued, however, the wood underneath is of more interest so am stripping the black and plan to varnish the wood or do something to play up the fine grain.
The clothes pins and glass blocks are holding felt to wood. The original glue held for probably 40 or 50 years.
Nothing lasts forever.
