From Plays to Peru

Last evening, it was plays and how and what to pitch. This evening, it's snakes and Peru.

This is a very light ornament, almost two feet tall, that is of a paddle with a snake curled around it. At top, are the words, Creta - Indiana. Cryptic. And where the eye is, does it look as if someone dug out whatever was in that spot? Entirely fixable, of course.

Ooo, I wonder how the creator did the twining snake around a stave. This is from ten years ago and no doubt, they are no longer around to ask.

Quite life-like with a bit of a forked tongue in place.
