Sub-Saharan Sulcata

Cannot resist featuring this amazing discovery of a large tortoise living two blocks from me on my street. Chomper is his name and he's a 15-year-old Sulcata  or African Spurred Tortoise, the third largest species of tortoises in the world. These dry-land animals can grow two to three feet long weigh up to 200 pounds. They often live for more than 50 years in the wild.
