Fabulous Vernissage at PJMG

Naked Truth: We are all wired.
A stunning array of art and an eclectic crowd gathered at Patrick John Mills Gallery in Hintonburg this evening for the opening of the Naked Naked Naked group show.

The show is on until March 26 with the gallery open Thursday through Saturday, noon to 5:00 pm each day. You can also make an appointment to view the art should these times not be suitable.

Curator and gallery owner, Patrick John Mills, did a professional job of accommodating the Quirky B's, never easy to show as some hang and others don't. In this case, all the boards are horizontal but given the tremendous amount of patrons expected, plinths in the middle of the floor were not possible so Patrick built suitable shelves around the perimeter of the gallery which are perfect for small works such as the QBs.

People started coming at 6:00 pm and did not stop until 9:00.
Throughout the evening, there were delicious tidbits, shrimp on skewers, etc. provided by Essence Catering as well as a dark and a light beer provided by St Ambrroise McAuslan Brewing Inc.

Right before closing, there was a floor show by The Sin Sisters. They were dressed to the nines in feathers and sequins and did several burlesque numbers. There was also a rather remarkable team of a violinist and performance artist who enacted a poignant playlet the name of which might have been, I'm Not Pretty.

All in all, a wonderful show.
