The Marilyn Suite
Applied a glaze to both boards. Crucial so that colour permanence is maintained.
Taking a common keyboard and redoing it in different colours, using the same materials, over and over, is reminiscent of the way Warhol did Mao and Marilyn.
In reading his biography, it appears that he had many of his minions stumping for him to do portraits. These were, by no means, high-realism being silk-screened from a Polaroid image.. But it's the way he made a name for himself internationally.
