Shadow Box Work

Whip of Velcro.
With hundreds of brooches or miniatures, as I prefer to call them, the most difficult part of creating shadow boxes is what to choose to put in them.
Hundreds to choose from.
And then comes attaching them to the base. At first, hot glue was being used but in the interests of moving things around the background in order to find the most pleasing arrangement, Velcro seemed to be the way to go.

And it will be...once the squares cut from a whip-like piece are glued in a proper fashion.

Velcro is glued with smooth side up.

You'd never have seen the green and blue bits had I not
photographed this gold-coloured piece.
