Artists Called to be Cocks of the Walk

The item to the right is done. I restrung it this morn. Extraordinary-looking. I must try to find more guitars that I can, uh, deface.

Meanwhile, Spaceman Music on Gladstone Avenue in Ottawa, Canada, donated three cases a day or two ago. Below is one of them. This is a small case which I may make into a rooster for an art contest that Ottawa's Atomic Rooster Bar is holding. The deadline is end of next week. Think of the case standing on end and wings coming from the shoulders of it, feet from the base and then something amazing for a head.

We'll see how this unfolds. The call for artists is below.

ATOMIC ROOSTER COCK SHOW 2013
Sept 8 - Oct 13
Vernissage: Sept 17 - 7:00pm
Attention ALL  Artists, you are invited to enter our annual art expo -  the COCK SHOW.
Now 5 years running, the Cock Show has become a revered art event that exhibits the best Rooster Art in the city!
New to the show? It’s pretty straightforward - once a year we salute the mighty rooster by presenting an art expo made up entirely of artworks from local artists who are looking to strut  their stuff.
Cocky? Maybe, but it’s great fun and if your piece is voted as the fav of the show, not only will you earn the right to be ‘super cocky’, the winning selection will be featured on our bar coasters.  And if that isn’t something to crow about, we’re throwing in a $200 gift certificate for Wallack’s Art Supplies.
We accept all mediums providing the artwork is original and can be hung. Please drop off your masterpiece (details below) by 5pm Saturday, Sept 7th. And bring your family and friends to the vernissage Tuesday, Sept 17.
