James Fletcher Sculpted at PJM This Morn

The day before an opening is like opening night at the theatre. The sets are pretty well done, the curtain works, all that is missing is the audience. And remember, the gallery opens at noon on Thursdays so things have to be ready before the actual opening which is from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

I completed the sign for the outside A-Frame and delivered it shortly after noon today. James Stewart had just finished work carving, promising to resume tomorrow. He is carving a large soap stone in the front yard of the gallery. He has finishing touches to put  on this piece tomorrow.

James Fletcher's sculpture adds a je ne sais quoi to the beautiful garden in front of the gallery.
