The newer one doesn't work. That's the lovely aerodynamic, slim aluminum-bodied one. The other blue heavily plasticized one, probably around ten years old and coming from a G-3 given to me some time ago, works fine, thank-you very much.
Only one Mac keyboard has been turned from functionality into art, Mardi Gras. Mac boards are hard come by. either they last longer than PCs or they simply disappear. One tech mentioned that there's some sort of service agreement whereby Mac boards are returned to source.
