Sometimes, it's a good thing when one lives in one's own house. I have a very strong feeling that what I was doing today would not have gone over well in my mother's kitchen. I can tell you that unlubed condoms take paint better and that all of them are given cause to degrade when paint is applied. My plan is to create a mobile using condomed computer mice or is that mouses? This will be for Porn is Not Art show that starts on April 7/11 at Patrick John Mills Gallery.
Something tells me that it might be easier spray painting mouses than colouring the condoms. However, as you see with the red mouse, acrylic does not cover that well and I can imagine how difficult it will be getting a condom over sticky paint. No matter how dry it seems, there's still a tack to it.
