Liminal Creativity

Just before taking keyboard in hand, placing it naked on the table, with brushes, glue, wax, sand or glitter close by, is a liminal time for an artist. The idea(s), not fully formed, percolates and it is now that amendments, sometimes edging towards flights of fancy, occur. It is an antsy time, hyper-reflective, a time of mooniness or perhaps moodiness, as creation jells.
