I am leaning towards the latter.
You may not notice but the nose has been "done" and all that remains is around the eyes and the mouth. If I use the strap, it'll be doubled and some sort of teeth will show through. Not certain what I'll come up with. Interesting effects have been done using parts of necklaces.
I wonder what this would look like using just the chain link. Stay tuned and all will be revealed on the morrow.
